We couldn’t discuss fashion technology news at London Fashion Week without mentioning the kind of technology that’s infused into the very pieces themselves.
Fashion and technology brand TwentyFour15 fused style and the space-age with their collection of connected streetwear at 2017’s London Fashion Week. The collection included backpacks, T-shirts and bomber jackets that changed colour and showed animation in time to the music played via a connected smartphone.
TwentyFour15’s collection was designed in collaboration with XO, a fashion tech agency. Matthew Drinkwater, Head of the Fashion Innovation Agency at the London College of Fashion, weighs in:
‘Fashion-focused wearable technology is something that hasn’t really happened. It will be really interesting to see where the consumer demand is.’
John Herrera’s collaboration with Epson will be tomorrow’s feature and the fifth and final Fashion Industry instalment!
